Buffalo, NY – Mayor Byron W. Brown today reminded Buffalo residents that the City of Buffalo’s winter parking regulations on bus routes went into effect at 1:30 a.m. this morning.
Winter parking regulations on bus routes will be in effect every day from 1:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., from November 15, 2021 through April 1, 2022.
In addition to the start of winter parking regulations on bus routes, the City has reactivated 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. parking restrictions on the City’s side streets with those posted designations. Those parking regulations were suspended on residential streets to accommodate the many Buffalo residents who were working and learning from home.
It’s America Recycles Day!
Mayor Brown marked the 24th Annual America Recycles Day by reminding residents that the City of Buffalo continues to expand its 34andMore Buffalo Recycles initiative.
The City’s newest initiative is the Let’s DO This TOGETHER! Apartment Recycling Program. The Let’s DO This! Together – Apartment Recycling Program works with property managers and residents to bring the City’s 34 and More Recycling Program to their buildings.
“We’re excited to work directly with property managers, landlords and tenants who occupy apartment buildings, providing them with a host of outreach and educational materials to drive measurable change,” Mayor Brown said. “We look forward to keeping even more valuable recyclables out of landfills, while improving the quality of recyclables that support Buffalo’s continuously growing recycling industry. I thank The Recycling Partnership for helping us do even more to make a positive impact in our neighborhoods with this next phase of our 34 and More Buffalo Recycles program.”
The City held events throughout the month of November to call attention to the many ways residents can participate in programming designed to prevent the disposal of recyclables in landfills.
The dome of Buffalo City Hall and the City’s BuffaloLIT partners will be lit up in green tonight, November 15, to mark America Recycles Day.
