MESTOWN, N.Y. — Elections were held recently for student leaders at SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Jamestown Campus.
Serving on the JCC Student Senate for the 2023-24 academic year are Skyela Banse-Fay, Miracle Berakah, Daniel Gonzalez, and Pablo Luis Guzman Morales, all of Jamestown; Momen Dahab of Cairo, Egypt; Alyssa Drozdiel of Westfield; Willow Daly-Griffen of South Dayton; Isabella Haskell of Ellicottville; Julianna Grace Main of Frewsburg; Thomas Marsalis of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; and Jayla Sparks of Canton, Ohio.
Student Senate is the officially recognized, student-governing body of the college. Members represent the student body and the community, and have a direct voice in student affairs and college activities.
Drozdiel is the elected student representative to the JCC Board of Trustees for the academic year. The Executive Board is comprised of Dahab as chairperson, Berakah as vice-chair, Marsalis as treasurer, and Banse-Fay as secretary. Daly-Griffen serves as the Fundraising and Service chair, and Student Advocacy chair; Gonzalez is Legislative Affairs chair; Haskell is Marketing and Public Relations chair; Sparks is Athletic Liaison chair; and Guzman Morales as Health, Safety and Accessibility Chair.
Kayla Crosby, director of Campus Life; James Kelemen, administrative specialist; and Rose Torres, senior student services assistant, are advisors for this year’s senate.
