Safety Resource Fair to be Offered Virtually by Alzheimer’s Association Western New York

BUFFALO, NY (August 18, 2021) – The Alzheimer’s Association® Western New York Chapter is planning an online Safety Resource Fair to address security concerns, including preventing wandering by individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia.

The virtual program will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 using a digital platform that can be accessed via laptop, tablet or smartphone. It will provide information for caregivers, family members, those living with the disease, professionals and the general public to collect information and enroll in various programs and services related to wandering prevention and general safety preparedness.

Among topics:

* MedicAlert + Wandering Support

* ECMC Driver Evaluation Program

* Alzheimer’s Association WNY

There will also be time for Q&A with representatives from those programs.
