The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is hosting an in-person public hearing on September 27, 202
3 for the NYS Route 33, Kensington Expressway Project. The NYSDOT, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, has prepared the Draft Design Report/Environmental Assessment (DDR/EA) for the Project, which will be made available for review and copying beginning September 12, 2023, at the Frank E. Merriweather Library, 1324 Jefferson Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14208, the New York State Department of Transportation, 100 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY 14203, and the Project Outreach Office, 878 Humboldt Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14211, and online at KensingtonExpressway.dot.ny.gov.
The public hearing will consist of two sessions. Each session will include an open house followed by a formal presentation and public testimony. The same information will be presented at both sessions. The two sessions will be as follows:
Session 1: open house from 10:30am to 11:30am with a formal presentation at 11:30am followed by public testimony.
Session 2: open house from 4:30pm to 5:30pm with a formal presentation at 5:30pm followed by public testimony.
Comments may be submitted orally to a private stenographer and/or in writing at either session. Comments may also be submitted via email to kensingtonexpressway@dot.ny.gov, or by U.S. mail to Kensington Expressway Project Team, NYSDOT Region 5, 100 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.
