This season’s Concerts on the Pier series will have a Latin twist.
The Thursday concerts, sponsored by the City of Dunkirk, will feature an orchestra with a salsa band, the return of “Orquesta Antonetti”
To the series, and the 14 bands member newly released music “Pa Rato”, which stops in Dunkirk Pier on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:30pm. It will be the first concert by the band in the Dunkirk following its release of its new CD.
This will be the first time in many years the City of Dunirk provides live latin music for free at their “Thursday-Music on the Pier” series. Performance starts at 6:00pm to 830pm. There will be plenty of Food Trucks and beverages for everyone to enjoy. Mayor Willie Rosas is inviting the Hispanic community in Western New York to come and join him and Orquestra Antonetti at the beautiful Dunkirk waterfront. Free to the public.
Orquestra Antonetti has been playing for salsa lovers since 1970. The genre is based on the dance music popular in Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
