MAYOR BROWN BRINGS THE BREAST HEALTH MOBILE MAMMOGRAPHY COACH TO BUFFALO CITY HALL. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 202

Buffalo – Mayor Byron W. Brown issued a reminder today for Downtown employees who are 40 and older and never had a mammogram, as well as those women who are due for their annual mammogram, that the Breast Health Mobile Mammography Coach is making a stop at Buffalo City Hall in late October. Mayor Brown encouraged them to register as soon as possible. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities in Buffalo this October, the ECMC Foundation’s Breast Health Mobile Mammography Coach will be at Buffalo City Hall on Friday, October 27th, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Mammograms will be done by appointment only.

“According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, and mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat,” stated Mayor Brown, noting that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Buffalo. “Breast cancer touches the lives of many people in our community, and today I’m urging women to take charge of their own breast health by scheduling regular visits and annual mammograms. By bringing the Mobile Mammography Coach to City Hall, we hope to make mammograms more convenient for the downtown workforce. I thank the Breast Health Mobile Mammography Coach, its staff, and supporters for providing this vital service in our community.”

The Mobile Mammography Coach will be at Buffalo City Hall from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM on October 27th. Mammograms will be done by appointment only. To reserve an appointment time, call 632-7465, and when prompted, choose ‘Option 3’. The Mobile Mammography Coach provides mammogram screenings for individuals 40 or older who have never had a mammogram and/or those who are 40 or older and are due for their annual mammograms. The Breast Health Mobile Mammography Coach is sponsored by Dr. Vivian Lindfield and The ECMC Foundation. All City employees are provided with leave time annually to make getting a mammogram as easy as possible.
