Communications Specialist, Western New York

CSEA, one of New York State’s largest public employee unions, is seeking resumes for a Communications Specialist for the Western Region Office in Amherst, NY. The specialist will work independently throughout 14 counties in Western New York and as part of a statewide communications team to promote the important work union members perform in their communities; and the value of unions for members and the general public.

The candidate must be a self-starter with strong writing, photography and social media skills; a multi-tasker who can deliver under deadline; function as an ambassador for CSEA with union members, the public and the media; skilled in media relations, public speaking and strategic campaign development; and hold a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field and two years of related experience or a satisfactory combination of education and experience.
