Paola Suro is a Multi-Media Journalist for 7 Eyewitness News. She originated from Puerto Rico, but moved at the young age of three. She’s what you could call a “citizen of the world”, after having lived in Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Panama, Ohio, and now New York
Paola graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and loved Upstate New York so much she now calls Buffalo her home! Before joining the WKBW Team, Paola interned at “Good Morning America,” Univision Communications, WSYR-TV in Syracuse and WCPO, the ABC affiliate in Cincinnati. Paola is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists. When not at the station or on-the-road, she actively engages in Community Service as a Volunteer for the American Red Cross, United Way of Central New York and Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to being active on the T.V. screen, Paola has made her mark in the Hispanic Community of Buffalo. Paola has served as Master of Ceremony for the Hispanic Women’s League, and continues to be involved in the community, telling important stories. Paola is a warm and caring individual that will win your heart 5 minutes into talking with her. We are extremely proud to have this amazing Latina as a Journalist at channel 7 as well as part of our community. We thank Channel 7 for giving Paola a home right here in Western New York.
