The Greater Buffalo United Accountable Healthcare Network (GBUAHN) will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new facility. The $6 million, 40,000-square-foot building is the largest construction project on Buffalo’s Lower West Side in 25 years. Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, New York State Senator Timothy Kennedy and other local dignitaries will speak in honor of the grand opening.
Part of the revitalizing Niagara Street section of the city, GBUAHN’s facility is expected to pump $11 million annually into the local economy. GBUAHN’s new home is a bricks and mortar representation of a revolution in health care – it is a one-stop shop for the disparate population in the neighborhood and features primary care and behavioral health integration – which is unique to the area, a huge fitness center, teaching kitchen and the most up-to-date, must-be-seen, technology.
