Summer Camp Registration is Open

Say Yes Buffalo, in partnership with the Buffalo Public Schools and the City of Buffalo, is providing the opportunity for your child to participate in a free 6 week neighborhood-based SUMMER CAMP! The Say Yes Buffalo Summer Camp Program will run from July 5August 12, 2016, Monday – Friday, from 8:00am – 12:00pm. Students that currently attend a Buffalo Public School and are at least 5 years of age in grades K-6, will be eligible to attend locations throughout the city.

Summer camp activities will include an academic focus on reading, math and English Language Arts (ELA), participation in Mayor Bryon W. Brown’s Reading Rules! Summer Reading Challenge, recreational activities, and field trips. In addition, breakfast and lunch will be served daily.

If you wish to enroll your child, please download an application packet from SayYesBuffalo.org/summer2016 and submit it directly to the summer campsite you would like your child to attend no later than Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Campsites are located at SayYesBuffalo.org/summer 2016. Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis, and space is limited. The items listed below are needed for your child’s enrollment packet to be considered:

  • Student Camp Enrollment Form
  • Health Form
  • Current immunization/shot records
  • Reading Rules! Summer Reading Challenge Registration Form

If you do not have a copy of the immunization record, please contact the nurse at your child’s school and they can help.

Attendance for summer camp is very important. If a student pre-registers and does not show up for the first day of camp, the student may be placed on the site’s summer camp waiting list.

If you have any questions, or would like more information, please contact the location where you would like to enroll your child. For general questions please call Dario Gray at 716.247.5310 ext. 201.

We look forward to having a wonderful, fun, and engaging summer!!!

Sincerely,

Dr. Kriner Cash                                                        David Rust
